A portfolio of five screenprints on folio white paper by Juan Abreu, Julio Antonio, Luis Cruz Azaceta, Carlos Cardenas, and Tomas Esson, hand printed by Katsumi Suzuki and Hidemi Nomura at Watanabe Studio. Edition of 47 and 5 printer's proofs. Published by Snitzer / Michaels editions, 1994. Portfolio case in charcoal gray cloth. Fredric Snitzer and Gary Michaels collaborated in 1993 to publish the Portfolio Five project in order to fulfill the desire to represent The Dissidents of Cuba at that time. We gave our five artists free reign to create images to express their emotions, anger, individual passions, and artistic skills. We spent over a year and a half working on Portfolio Five, with our artists in attendance and working side by side with the master printmakers at Watanabe Studio.
