Fredric Snitzer Gallery is pleased to announce our latest exhibition, PRINTS, which features works from Columbia University's LeRoy Neiman Center for Print Studies.
The LeRoy Neiman Center for Print Studies is a not-for-profit printshop located in the School of the Arts at Columbia University. The center provides students and invited artists with a rich environment to investigate and produce images through a myriad of printmaking techniques, including Intaglio, lithography, screenprint, relief, and digital imaging. Since its founding in 1996, the Neiman Center has collaborated with more than 60 artists, including Jasper Johns, Alfredo Jaar, William Kentridge, Dana Schutz, and Kara Walker. They published close to 600 editions, many of which have been acquired by museums and private collectors worldwide.
PRINTS brings together an impressive roster of artists, showcasing works by David Altmejd, Korakrit Arunanondchai, Sanford Biggers, Cecily Brown, Nathan Caitlin, Susanna Coffey, Adama Delphine Fawundu, Eric Fischl, Megan Foster, Trenton Doyle Hancock, Dr. Lanka, Jennifer Nuss, Kiki Smith, Sarah Sze, Rirkrit Tiravanija, Tomas Vu, and Paula Wilson. This diverse group of artists represents a broad spectrum of contemporary printmaking, highlighting the versatility and dynamism of the medium.
The exhibition is a celebration of printmaking's rich history and its continuing evolution. Each artist brings their unique perspective and technique to the medium, creating a visually stunning and intellectually engaging presentation. From intricate etchings and Intaglio prints to bold screen prints and offset lithographies, PRINTSoffers a comprehensive look at the state of contemporary printmaking.
